Welcome to Lan Saka, the “Best Weather in Thailand”

September 7, 2011

At a ceremony yesterday, the Governor of Nakhon Si Thammarat Province declared that Ban Khao Thong village in Lak Saka district has been named as the place with the cleanest air in Thailand. According to the Pollution Control Department, who monitor the air quality, they found that the AQI is between 17-49 which is considered very good.

I can’t find the exact place yet. But I know it is at the foot of the mountain Khao Thong in Lak Saka District. I will have another go tonight in locating this place.

I want to stay in Thailand, but being in Bangkok’s air is the equivalent of being a smoker and my health has suffered, so this is a breath of fresh air….
