The Bangkok Metropolitan Authority (BMA) will be hosting the biggest new year party at “Bangkok Countdown 2012 @ CentralWorld”. The theme this year is “Smile Up” with the aim to make people smile again after the devastating floods. People attending the countdown event in front of Central World in Bangkok will be entertained with a concert performed by famous artists and also a spectacular fireworks show. It is advisable to go to the event by public transport such as the skytrain. The nearest station is BTS Chitlom and the trains will run until 2 a.m.
