The Association of Siamese Architects under the Royal Patronage is inviting you to the 3rd Kadeejeen Art in Soi Festival, an annual art and culture festival aimed to strengthen community participation and network building for the purpose of conservation and revitalization of this historic neighborhood. Initiated in 2010, the event this year will expand to Klong Sarn under the theme Kadeejeen – Klong Sarn – Saphan Phut: Art of Three Piers.
To be showcased at the festival are works of art, design and lighting in public areas, inspired by environmental problems in cities. Other features include exhibitions, music and talks commemorating number of special occasions of these neighborhoods: 500 years of Thai-Portuguese Diplomatic Relations, the 130th anniversary of the Thai classical music master, Tua Patayakosol, and the 80th anniversary of Saphan Phut Bridge. Also available are walking and bicycle tours.
The three day festival runs from Friday 27th to Sunday 29th January from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. It takes places in the Kadeejeen and Klong Sarn Communities of Bangkok. Click here to download the schedule in English and here for a map of the event.
