Swiss Sheep Farm in Cha-am

June 22, 2012

A new attraction to the south of Bangkok is due to open on 30 June 2012. It is the Swiss Sheep Farm and has been described as a kind of theme park for Thais to take pictures of themselves. It’s cashing in on the new trend of Instagram. I presume they also have sheep but I saw none on their Facebook or website. I couldn’t find any map but they say that they are on the main road about 5kms before reaching Cha-am. So, it might make a nice stop-over on the way to or back from the beach. Prices are 40 Baht for adults and 20 Baht for children. Opening times are 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on weekdays and 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the weekend. Visit their website for more pictures. I will post more information once I have been there myself.

I would like to tell you all that would like to go to this Swiss Sheep Farm. Please take a look carefully at all sheeps, cows, and hourses. They are suffocating because staffs do not care about animal at all. I have been there expecting that this place will be amazing but I admit, decorations and ideas are great but animals are dying.

Baby cows have been laying on dirt ground all day without water, they are so thin till you can see bones. Water pond is full of moss and water already look green and no one cares to change it. Horses are dancing for 2 hours non stop without water or food in very hot sunlight. Some of horses belly are bloating, either sick or pregnant but they still let people do horse riding just to get money. I feel so sorry for those animals in this farm.

I just wish someone would at least give them a look and see how terrible and suffer they look.

    Regards,
    Animal Lover
