The Next Big Bite Bangkok is this Sunday

Introducing Big Bite Bangkok a semi-annual food tasting market on July 15th, 2012 from 11am-2pm at Maduzi Hotel. The three hour market invites food lovers to taste a variety of cuisine from around Bangkok. July’s event is the first following a successful launch in January. Big Bite Bangkok celebrates all that is delicious, thoughtfully made and available in Bangkok by letting participants sample food at no cost. At long last, a market for people who love food in all its forms: be it Thai, non-Thai, grilled, stir-fried, solid, liquid, or sold on a stick.

Instead of purchasing tickets, those who come to mingle with other food enthusiasts and sample the market’s Thai and International delectables, are encouraged to make a donation to charity. In addition to the free big bites from each of the food producers, market goers can also purchase larger servings to eat or take home. Organizers hope while feeding the city they will also grow the public’s food awareness and create a place where culinary experts, amateur cooks, and regular people come together to find out what’s tasty and well-made in Bangkok.

The July Big Bite Bangkok will feature the edible handiwork of Birds in a Row, Adam’s Organic, Bo.lan, Quince Eatery and more, as several new vendors have been added to the market’s line up since the premier event. Organizers are also preparing tents to make sure the event happens rain or shine. Last January’s market showcased nine vendors to a large turnout and featured a wide range of food items from homemade sai oua hot dogs to freshly baked bagels.

Big Bite Bangkok will donate part of its proceeds to In Search of Sanuk, a non-profit volunteer organization benefitting the needy in Bangkok.
