Tune Hotel to open in Bangkok for as little as 100 Baht per room

After the success of its earlier properties in Hat Yai and Pattaya, the global value hotel chain Tune Hotels yesterday announced the opening of its first city hotel in central Bangkok, scheduled to open on 1st October, 2012. “Tune Hotel Asoke is very important to us as it marks our presence in Bangkok, one of the world’s most visited cities. With Tune Hotels’ innovative concept and highly competitive pricing, we are confident of providing visitors to Bangkok a world-class accommodation that offers great value and great savings,” said Tune Hotels Group chief executive officer Mark Lankester.

 Located on Sukhumvit Road, one of Bangkok’s most important business and tourism arteries, Tune Hotel Asoke will have 130 rooms comprising double, twin-sharing and disabled-friendly rooms. “We anticipate a great response from visitors to Bangkok, especially from Asia and Europe, where guests have become accustomed to and are familiar with our brand and concept,” Mark Lankester stated. “We have planned for more hotels in the Land of Smiles and next up will be the resort island of Phuket,” he added.

To celebrate the opening, rooms at Tune Hotels Asoke, Bangkok are now open for booking from as low as 100 baht per night for stays from 1st October, 2012 to 31 May, 2013.     It is a pity that I booked my air ticket 2 weeks earlier. I anticipated it to open in September but it postponed to 1st. Oct. There fore I missed the chance of staying in a hotel that had 5-star rating but 1-star price!

    Don’t forget that they keep the prices down by only giving you the basics. If you want air, towels, internet and TV then you have to pay extra. I stayed in Tune Hotel in Hat Yai and I can confirm that the bed and shower were 5 star quality.
