No Tourist Visa fees at Thai Embassies for everyone until 28 February 2017

Good news for people planning to fly to Thailand during the high season. If you apply for a single entry Tourist Visa at a Thai embassy, between 1 December 2016 and 28 February 2017, you don’t need to pay any fee. In the past, only certain countries (like G7 nations) could get visa exemption stamps when they arrived. Other nationalities had to visit their local Thai embassy or get a Visa on Arrival if eligible. Now, for a fixed period of time, anyone can go to their local Thai embassy to get a tourist visa without having to pay a fee.
