Grand Palace and The Temple of the Emerald Buddha will be closed during October 2017

The funeral of King Bhumibol will be taking place from 25th to 29th October 2017. As a consequence, the Grand Palace and the Temple of the Emerald Buddha will be closed to all tourists from 1st to 29th October. At the moment, the palace is expected to re-open on 30th October 2017. Other temples nearby, like Wat Arun (The Temple of Dawn), Wat Pho (The Reclining Buddha) and Wat Benchamabophit (The Marble Temple) will remain open as normal. Has anyone been able to visit the Grand Palace after Oct 5, 2017? I’ve read so many articles about the Grand Palace being closed until the 29th but I still keep seeing tourist reviews of their visit to the palace until yesterday. My family and I will be in Bangkok on the 21st and would love to visit the palace.

Closed to tourists for sure. People sometimes post pictures and write reviews after they have gone home.
